  1. Unfortunately in today’s world dietary science is extremely under-researched, perhaps due to the shear complexity and degree of integration of the digestive system. I’ve been strictly following the ketogenic diet for the last 12 months and have never felt better, even while breaking the diet a few times per month.

In my opinion books like these (another that comes to mind is Eat Right for Your Type) seek to generalise and categorise the vast differences between us (in on ‘metabolic types’ and blood types in the case of the aforementioned books), using flimsy scientific arguments. For those of us having the discipline and ability to honestly subject ourselves to various diets, the best way forward for anyone is to simply experiment intuitively.

    • The vast scientific body is grappling with the complexity of the design of body which is not a man made design. There will never be a silver bullet. The point isbthat if one is allergic / subtlely reacting to spinach or orange but no other food in the world then Elimination Diet is pretty much the only option. Food sensitivity tests are not as reliable.
